Hi folks, OSX newbie here. I have a question regarding formatting with disk util. I formatted a 16gb USB drive with mac osx extended journaled the disk reports as only having 10.5gb free (see pic)
If I format non journaled and FAT I get pretty much the full 16gb. Is this normal? I can't see a file system structure taking up 5.5gb. Any idea what takes up the 5.5gb?
