Hi, guys. I came across a site named [name removed] which says:

Your Gateway to Free Prizes! Want Free Games, Game Prepaid Cards, Game Systems and more? Want Non Gaming Related items like clothing, electronics, dvds, toys or anything else imaginable? Simply Sign Up for Free and you will be getting prizes in no time!

I don't know if this is real or a scam... I see a lot of people trust this site and frequently get free items (usually SD cards and games for consoles) via shipping. I wanna know what you guys think. Is this fake or not?

It may be perfectly "real" in a sense. It looks like a typical referral scheme site. These sites generally make you jump through hoops for their sponsors, signing up for things you can cancel... but they hope you won't, or won't do it right. They also require that you give them referrals to other people to earn your points. If you do all this, you may get to exchange points for goods, but these sites are the cause of a large amount of spamming as people try to get other people to click on their referral links so they'll earn points.

There is a rule against posting referral links at MacRumors for sites like this for exactly that reason, and we avoid promoting such sites. If you have other questions about it, please send me a Private Message.
