I reformated an Edmini with disk utility... which I know sounds stupid, but the ethernet port wasn't working... or I couldn't connect to it through ethernet. So I connected it through the USB port and reformatted it.. and now I believe i've turned it into a paper weight. Does anybody know of a way to fix it? To atleast put it back to where it was (only connecting through the USB port?) Thanks.

I suppose the "edmini" is network HDD, if so, it most probably uses its own file system, that can be accessed via SAMBA, therefore it is OS independent.

By formatting it via Disk Utility you used one of the offered file systems, HFS+ or FAT32, which are not meant for network HDDs.

Look at the company's website for further FAQs or manuals or even helpful software.

From which company is the "edmini" by the way? LaCie?
