I got the iphone 4s.. but the 4 I have... I just update the firmware to 5.1, do I need to remove the sim card in the iPhone 4 in order for me to sell it or should I just leave it inside... as I think there might be important data in the SIM card... shoulf I remove it then or can I do it myself?

I would just remove the Sim card, if you are worried about it. Takes just a couple of seconds. I'm sure the new buyer would have no use for it.

Remove the SIM card and sell the phone without it. The new owner will have one or will need to get one. Just mention when you're selling it that it does not have a SIM card so there are no misunderstandings with the buyer. I sold my original iPhone without a SIM card with no issues.
