hello all,

over the past few months, I have noticed that my macbook has been slowing down a lot. Opening programs has taken longer, opening files (esp office files, idk why), finder is slower, etc. Its almost like the hard drive need to be de-fragged, though I know OSX de-fraggs on the fly. Is a reformat in order or are there other culprits for my slowing mac?

any suggestions would be appreciated.

What are your specs? How much free space does the HD have?

Could it just be you got used to the speed of OS X and it just seems slower?? :p
