Sorry if I sound a little confusing here but every time I reformat my PC I have to erase and sync my music in iTunes before I can start adding songs to my iPhone. I'm going to reformat my PC again.

I heard there was a way to save some type of key from the current installation of iTunes and when I reformat and reinstall iTunes I copy the information to the new installation so that iTunes won't see my iPhone as a new device and have to erase and sync my music again.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I tried googling but I can't find anything. I saw a tutorial for this a long time ago but I can't find anything on google.
