Reformatting Queries

Hello,

I am reformatting my macbook.

I have taken backup using time machine.
Is this sufficient or do I need to go individually to folders and take backup?

Is there anything else that I need to do?

Also, My macbook has a crack near the edge. This is a known problem in macbook. Is this covered under apple warranty?

Time Machine backs up everything, you don't need to do anything.

The cracks are covered even for people out of warranty.
