Is it possible to get a full refund after 3 months after purchasing MBP if it is defective or the only option is to give you a new one? And EVENTUALLY if there is an option to get a full refund, is it possible instead of getting your money back to get a MBA and simply pay the difference?

Laws are not the same in all countries. I could tell you how it is where I live, but I doubt you would benefit from that.

Where do you live?

if this is the first defect you will not get a refund what is the issue?

you can ask the genius bar to swap it for a refurb air. but there is no guarantee

As far as I'm aware your only opportunity to get a refund or exchange for a different model is during the initial 14 day period. After you're through the 14 days the MBP is yours and any defects will be fixed or in extreme cases they will replace with a new MBP of the same model and specs.

Why should they offer you a refund after you've owned the computer for 3 months?
