Got an automatic refund for iphone bumper I purchased from Apple retail store via credit on my credit card on 7/22. Paid 29.99 + 2.33 tax+ 32.32. They only credited me 31.54. Anyone getting credited less than what they paid??
I guess I' just end up getting the so called free bumper for 78cents, heck they probably still made a profit.

You should call them up and complain or drive to the retail store and have them credit you back or give you a gift card for the whole 78cents.
Even posting something like this is not worth the time or effort.....

Dude. Let it go. It's 78 cents. You got a refund for something you were 100% happy to pay for. No need to complain, even just for "principle". Just ask your mom for the remaining 78 cents.

Same happened to me. I paid $62.xx and got refunded about $54.xx

I don't care enough to complain/gripe. Heck, I didn't even need a refund anyway. I'm perfectly happy with my phone and have/had no signal issues even without the bumpers

I think the point is that 78 cents times 2 Million (or so) equals a nice chunk of change. Is everyone getting short-changed?

78 cents isn't that big a deal, but it's still the principle. If they say they are going to give you a full refund, they should honor that. I would like to know why people are getting short changed. Is there maybe something in the fine print?

It's likely or at least possible that there may be some obscure law/provision that requires a cretin portion of the sales tax to still be paid when giving a refund but allowing the customer to keep the merchandise.

That 78 cents is more than likely what it costs to manufacture the bumpers :D
