Refund rules for AppleCare +

I noticed on Apple's return site the AppleCare + cannot be refunded as the iPad can, and wondered as to why. Anyone can weigh in on this ? I purchased this with the iPad.

My iPad will be returned and thought I would get the 4G version instead a few weeks later. Cannot go to an Apple store since leg in a cast for awhile..

When you return product, they refund you for apple care. You want just return apple care and keep the product, call them.
