Refurb 1st gen data plan options on a new line?

Hey guys, getting a refurb 1st gen for app dev., wondering if I can sign up for the same data plans that were out prior to 3g launch?

You should be able to since they only charge a higher monthly price for the 3g iphones, if they still give you a higher price make sure you clarify you are using the original iphone

I read in FAQ's that for the $99 Enrollment for app dev, an iphone is provided? Does that mean they'll send me an iphone to develop on? Will I need to activate it to get data service for testing?
