Hey all,

Looking to purchase my first 15" MBP and I was looking at the Refurbs. I'm looking at these two models ... both are with 500 GB w/ 5400 RPM hard drive

2011 15" MBP Hi-Res (1680x1050) 2.0GHz quad-core Intel i7 w/ ATI 6490m for $1649
2010 15" MBP Hi-Res (1680x1050) 2.66GHz Intel Core i7 w/ Nvidia GT330m (512mb) for $1729

I'm confused on why the 2010 one is more than the 2011 one ... I've heard that the 6490m is comparable to the GT330m, if not slightly worse. It's just weird that the newer model is cheaper than the older one. Any insights?

The 2011 has Thunderbolt as opposed to a simple displayport port
The 2011 CPU is better (true quadcore as opposed to 2010's i7 which is dualcore with 2 hyperthreads (confusing, much?!))
The 2011 GPU is better, I think.
The 2011 price is better

In conclusion, get the 2011 model!!
