I just saw that the 60GB refurbished 5G Video iPods are $229 on Apples website. Thats $120 cheaper than the new 80GB. Now I know that the new one is 20GB more, but considering I have 24GB of music in iTunes and about 2GB worth of videos, 60GB is more than enough.
I have no problem spending the money on the new 80GB, but is there more of a reason to get one other than the extra space? I don't know what the 5G did (features/specs/batt life) compared to the new ones since the info isn't on Apples site anymore, can anyone give me some good reasons towards an 80GB? I want to order one today, just have to work out this little dilemma :)

It has a proper search function that so far I don't think you can get for the earlier 5G . :(

I saw that, looks pretty cool, but the price difference, $120 is hard to ignore. Damn you Apple, damn you! :)

I guess I would have to see how bright it is compared to a 5G, but that might be a good reason right there. I wish our Apple store already had them, it would make life a little easier.
Thanks.

What is this "search" function that everyone is speaking of? Is it available in teh firmware update?

I'm not seeing it on my 5G 30GB with the firmware update. It must be 5.5G specific :(

Edit: By 5.5G, I mean the 'new' iPods introduced yesterday, 60% brighter screen etc
