New Mac notebooks come from China. Refurbs usually come from within the US. I've never heard of a refurb coming from China. This is completely inconsequential, but my new refurb MBA is shipping from PA. All the prior refurbs I've purchased have come from China. Anyone know why?
And yes, I'm just curious and eagerly awaiting my new toy.![]()

LOL! Actually, most of the refurbs I've heard about came from PA. Whatcha got against the Keystone State?Well, if it came from NJ, I'd say OK, but PA? No way. Send it back and ask for a CN or NJ refurb!

That's not true.Just a guess, but when Apple releases an updated model, they call back all of the inventory of the previous model from the retail stores, to be sold in the refurb store, even though it's new (and not refurb'ed).
Apple Certified Refurbished Products are pre-owned Apple products that undergo Apple's stringent refurbishment process prior to being offered for sale. While only some units are returned due to technical issues, all units undergo Apple's stringent quality refurbishment process.
