Hi
I´m off to LA next week and thought about getting a refurb MBP from apple.com.
Then I saw that I´m staying next to Apple retail store in Century City.
Do they usually have refurbs in the stores, or is that just online?
(We don´t get refurbs at the online store in Norway)

If I order from apple.com, how long does it usually take before it´s delivered? (says they ship in the next 24h)

I have never seen refurbed products in any Apple Retail Store.

Shipping usually takes about a week to the Continental U.S.

On occasion they will have Refurbs in the store, especially since there was just an update.

If you order from Apple.com and pay for overnight shipping it will be there within two days.

Just had time to brush my teeth before I had to replies.
Thanks for the input.
Do you think I´ll have any problem having it shipped to my hotel?

Retail stores do not carry Refurbs ever. They do occasionaly carried refreshed which are computers that have been returned and reimaged, slightly different from a refurb

You should have no problems having it shipped to your hotel, just let the front desk know you are expecting a package.

YES, the Retail Stores will on occasion have Refurbs, but not in the traditional sence, they will have customer returns that they will inspect (and reformat) in-house and resell at refurb or lower prices.
