iPod refurb iPod nano (previous vs current generation)

Is the sticky-wiki post about iPods and generations current? It only shows 2 generations of nanos. I am looking to get a refurb for the car. I see the current model is a hair lighter, smaller, different casing, and requires later iTunes and OS versions... Am I missing anything that would make anyone say definitely "get the current one."

If you don't care about color, go refurb. New ones supposedly have brighter screens, but my refurb 2g looks fine.
