Hello. I just received my 2015 13in Macbook Pro from Apple. I ordered this after this model was discontinued after WWDC. I was hoping maybe it was just a new unit that was repacked as a refurbished when they discontinued them. When I got the Macbook it had some "grit" on it that I cleaned off and the battery cycle count was 7. Now I know I took a chance that maybe this was going to be new but doesn't appear so. Also a battery count of 7 seems high because if in fact it was returned I thought they replaced the outside case and battery.

Anyway I was going to return it and try to get another one but it appears they are now sold out. Should I return this or am I being too OCD and overthinking it?

Thanks

You are overthinking it in my opinion.. Battery count of 7 is nothing! As far as the grit goes that you had to clean off, that is unacceptable but as long as it came clean all is a-ok..

Keep it and rock on!
