Refurb MBP or discounted store MacBook Pro?

I live in the UK, so no this isn't a Black Friday discount. I am choosing between a 13 inch MacBook Pro for my father as a Christmas present; either from the UK Apple Refurb store (£770) or one from Argos (a retailer - £918). They are both the same machine but I am not sure about refurbished ones being 100% ok.

Has anyone bought from the refurbished store? Is it a good buy?

I've always bought new so I haven't bought any refurbished - and I would like to get one for a cheaply as possible

If you use the "Search" feature you'll find a number of threads dealing with refurbished products. Try it and see.

In short, just get the refurb.
