Anyone looking at a refurb of a mini, I suggest purchasing the Core Duo over the Core Solo... ;)

no i want core solo!

Well then, that will be an additional $50 + tax....

Oh I get it. It's like when they discontinued the original AirPort cards (b), they went from costing $35 to $100 overnight. Supply and Demand - Econ 101. Right, got it! :D

they just mark the orignal price down whatever the discount is...on all machines..and not relize that new ones were better for the same price

Typo, they probably mean $379. I would call the Apple Store and if you can get one for $379, that would be a better deal than :apple:TV for a home theater...

379 would be a good deal. Do you think a Core Solo would be enough processor for HTPC? How much RAM would you really need too?

This corresponds to Canadian pricing, where the 1.5GHz Solo is $549.00, and the 1.66GHz Duo is $469.00. What does the Solo have that the Duo doesn't? Nostalgia?
