twas thinking of getting a 256 refurb SSD but some people say its not good.

do you think its a bad idea to get a refurbished SSD?

To me, it would all boil down to the warranty of the refurbished SSD. If they are doing a 3 year warranty I'd be more inclined to buy than if they are doing a 90 day warranty.

they're usually not defective when returned to crucial, and they are actually tested to work unlike some new models so you're pretty safe in buying refurbished

even though they have a 30 day warranty

but they probably won't have them in stock for a while anyways

oh ok thanks man,

i dont really need an ssd, but i saw it was so cheap so might as well buy a few for the fam :p

The warranty would also be the deciding factor for me. If they were to offer the same warranty as they do for the new drives, it would be definitely worth it.
