I just ordered my second powerbook yesterday. Bought a 12" refurb for $1249. I'm excited, but was wondering how long it normally took apple to process the order and ship the item. The Titanium I own was purchased from the local Apple Store. I've always been hesitant to order from the online store because I've heard stories of long delays.

Thanks for any responses.

It's a crapshoot. A guy at work got his system in about a week. A friend of mine had to wait a month. If the refurb is in stock, it's likely to take less time than a custom build.

Good luck!

I ordered a BTO 15" 1.25 PB from the online store on 3-16 and received it on 3-22. Quite speedy....

And I understand the refurbs aren't even listed unless they are actually in stock....so if you order one it should be shipped quickly. If you can, specify any delivery EXCEPT Fedex Ground....

Best,

Bob
