I am getting a 23'' ACD and i am considering getting the refurbished one, which is about $150 less. Is this a good idea or no? I know they come with the same warranty, but I am still a little hesitant about refurbs. On the other hand I have heard of some people who like to buy refurb apple because it means an Apple employee has done a thorough check over the system. Do I have a greater chance of dead pixels with a refurb.
Also I know that refurbs come in some generic cardboard box and not the spiffy normal one. Is this box still a good one with the same level of padding? I ask because I will need to re-ship the monitor to another location is a month or two and want to use the box it comes in.
