Has anyone purchased an Apple watch series 3 from BestBuy and if so were you satisfied with your purchase? I'm thinking about getting me one.

I’m not aware of who Best Buy uses for a source for refurbishing their Apple Watches aside from ‘Open box’. Personally, if I wasn’t sure, then I would opt for Apple refurbished Apple watches which include a one-year warranty.

The Apple Refurbished watches are the way to go; I've bought multiple refurbished gifts for myself and my family. Same year warranty and AppleCare+ eligible. Unless you're getting a superior deal over the refurbished apple prices I'd avoid 3rd party refurbished Apple product.

I got one and I'm very happy with my purchase. According to the serial number the device was first purchased 10 days before I ordered it, so I'm not sure if it was really refurbished or just a mislabeled return. Nearly the same year warranty in this case too.

Or, Best Buy did not refurbish it at all and just sold it as a returned item because it likely just powered on and didn’t appear to have any issues. Which, they have been known to do in the past. But in some cases, it should be labeled ‘Open-Box.’

In that case I don't mind at all. It was a $100 discount. It was definitely marked as refurbished though.

The only Issue I have with Best Buy, is there inspections are sloppy by the Geek squad staff. They’re under-trained and they don’t thoroughly inspect the device and all the contents to be included at times. Its Just to show you its a sloppy mistake if they’re marking something as ‘refurbished’ if was actually ‘Open box.’ Its Why I personally don’t buy anything refurbished/open box from them and I would rather purchased refurbished from Apple with the one year warranty.
