Hey Everyone
So I recently received my replacement iPhone 3G in the mail considering my original phone had several bugs which Apple noticed and were happy to replace with a new phone. When I turned on this new refurbished phone, I automatically noticed a yellow discoloration tint in the screen. Call it OCD, but I can't stand looking at the screen now! I miss my crisp white screen, not this murky yellowish screen. I was wondering if anyone had any tips to fix this issue. Do you think I have a case for myself if I brought it to be looked at? I googled the issue but the only forums I found were dated back to 2008 where the fix was updating the firmware to OS 2.1 or something of that sort. Obviously that fix is outdated.
Thanks so much! Please help!

Only way to fix it is to replace the screen.
Bring it to Apple and explain to them that you're not happy with the refurb you just received.
They might replace it for you. Before you leave make sure you're happy with it and check it thoroughly.

It's not software its a hardware issue ( its the temperature of the White LED's that apple uses)

if apple allowed us to change the white balance, it wouldn't be an issue

but your only solutions are

a) live with it
b) go back and see if you can get another phone ( but the chances of it being yellow, are pretty high )
