I'd imagine they are units that were returned to BBUY and repackaged.

Doesn't really matters. Usually the official apple warranty even for non official refurb (say att or Best Buy) is from remaining warranty. Since SE was released less than 4-5 months ago. U still have 6-7 months of official Apple warranty left on the SE (on top months geek squad warranty)
