refurbished ipod problem

this is a refurbished 4GB iPod nano, the problem is
it frequently stuck on the screen of "do not disconnect" when connect/disconnected to computer.
also
it sometimes stop working when trying to play a song
when it stuck, no operation can be done except for "reset"
I followed the instructions when operating, so shouldn't be any operational problem.
I did
reset
restore
restart
but the problem didn't go away

so any idea?

Its a refurb. And sounds broken. You should talk to Apple (take it to an AppleStore).

If you already tried updating the firmware on the nano and it didn't work then I would take it back.

ok, i made an appointment with local applestore, will see

was hoping apple authorized refurbish stuff has better quality, lol, so far the apple products i have has 50% chance of being send back for repair (2/4),
