iPod Refurbished ipods???

what do you guys think about buying refurbished? i want a video ipod really bad. i was considering a zune, but they look like a brick.

i bought a refurb 2 gen nano and it had a few scratches, my battery was a little weak so i brought it in to apple and they gave me a brand new (in box) nano
