Hi All

I left OS X for about 4 years. Decided it was time to come back. I ordered a refurb 13 inch 2017 ntb laptop from the Canadian Apple refurb store. I ordered the base model with 16gb ram as the only upgrade. The box confirms this. The specs on the laptop suggest otherwise. I actually got the i7 2.5 ghz. Everything else is what I ordered. What should I do?

edit: just realized the i7 processor is a 360 CAD upgrade. Wow.

That sort of thing happens quite often even from the US refurbished store. Sometimes Apple will run out of the particular model you chose and instead move you up to a better machine for the same price. What should you do? Give thanks to whatever deity you worship! :p

Well, you are in your full right to complain and demand they send you a correct model... but why would you? :D

Does the system's serial number on the invoice, the box and, and in About This Mac match up?

The 2 times I've ordered a computer from the refurb store at Apple, I've gotten more than I paid for. Once, I got a higher speed processor, the second time I got a larger hard drive and twice the RAM.
