Hi guys,

I plan to buy a refurbished MacBook Pro 17" (more details below) for £1,199. It doesn't say it's glossy in the refurbished section so it should be matte right??

Also, if I am not mistaken, it's a revision D released on June 5, 2007...Any problems with this release?

http://store.apple.com/uk/product/FA897?mco=NzQ0MDQ#overview

Refurbished MacBook Pro 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
17-inch widescreen display
2GB memory
160GB hard drive
8x SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT with 256MB of GDDR3 memory
Built-in iSight Camera

Thank you so much.

You got the matte version. And yes, it does potentially have a GPU issue. Apple is covering GPU replacements on MacBook Pros for 2 years after purchase... if that's any consolation to you.

Thanks emt1!

Anyone knows whether refurbished 15inch macbook pro is coming out for UK?

You can buy a brand new glossy one from jigsaw-24 for £1232+10 delivery. I got one from them s in my Signature. Brand new sealed with leopard from Nov 2007 plus remote and no brown box.

All uk stock including refurbs comes from a warehouse in the midlands.

I went to jigsaw-24....a same new macbook pro with 2.4ghz 17 inch and with high definition...costs about £1291.33. (But it's Ordered on request - Do you know what this means?)

The one in refurbished section in apple website has the same specs but with no high definition, cost about £1199

So my question is the £100 difference worth it to buy a new high definition one?
