Refurbished or New?

Is there any reason not to buy a refurbished apple tv verses a new one? I am looking at the 160, not the 40 GB.

Nope refurb is perfectly fine, same box, same shrinkwrap, same warranty.

Mine was perfect, probably never used. I think it was a way to move the discontinued 40 model. My iPhone looked new. I buy refurb drills and other power tools and have had nothing but great luck.

received a refurb 40Gb ATV yesterday from the Apple store UK, came in a white box but totally unmarked, still in cellophane, as far as I can tell it was brand new.

My 40Gb one was from UK refurb a few months ago (well before it was discontinued). It came in a plain brown(?) box and was shrink wrapped. It had a small mark on the top plastic casing, not really visible, looks like the plug had banged into it, other than that it's perfect.
