Just an FYI for anyone who's interested, Apple has 12" PBooks for sale at a 30% discount from their original price.

(and they're out of refirb Macbook's)

As much as I love the 12" PowerBook, I'd have to say at this stage you'd be mad to buy a refurb one for $1199 when you can buy a brand new base level Macbook for $100 less (still 2.0GHz C2D, 80GB, 1GB RAM but combo drive) or for $100 more a brand new 2.16GHz, 120GB, 1GB RAM superdrive model.

Unless you really need a PowerPC processor or can't do without the alu case, there's little to recommend it these days.

hhhmmm

You talk about the MacBook - but those 12PB's look sooo much better. I've had my eye on one of those for months now.

I agree with AIB... you'd be mad to buy one now. I know they're small and cool, but the MacBooks feel really nice too. And run solidly.

You would definitely be mad considering all these rumours of an ultra-portable MBP. If Apple release that, my PB12" may even be hitting eBay, much as I love it.
