I was checking the cost of refurbished iPods... again and noticed that the price of the 30 gig video went from 179 to 209. I was considering buying one but this kinda swayed me not to. Why would apple raise this price? Short supply?

Looks like they also went from "Previous Generation" to "Current Generation" which would explain the price difference. You're paying a bit more for the 60% brighter screen and whatever other enhancements were made to the newest models (if any).

Are there any positives or negatives with going "refurb"? I'm looking to get a 5.5 gen 80 iPod with Video and I don't know if i should go new or refurb'ed.
