Refurbished rMBP + Air vs Haswell rMBP?

Debating between getting a refurbished rMBP plus an Air (likely 11"), or a maxed our Haswell rMBP. I do pretty intense database work, but also want something lightweight with great battery life for when I'm working at coffee shops and putting together proposals and emails. Any advice is appreciated!

For the rMBP, are you planning on the 15" or the 13" model? If it's the 15" model I'd say go the route of a refurbished early 2013 + MBA combo. The haswell update isn't as major for the 15" as it is for the 13" model, so you might as well save some money and also get a lightweight secondary device.

Personally, I'd just get a maxed out Haswell RMBP. I have the 15" and have found it to be very portable.
