Refurbished Time Capsule or Just a Wired Harddrive?

Hello all. Happy Holidays.


I will be getting a apple store gift card and would like your thoughts.

In the process looking for a good backup drive for TimeMachine on our two iMacs.

I am looking at either a refurbished time capsule 1TB or a wired 1TB Hard Drive.

I already have a Linksys Gband wireless router. A N Band router would be nice but not really a selling point.

The reviews on the time capsule vary as well as reviews on Western Digital drives and the like.

My concerns are product preformance and also longevity.

Help me decide please :) LOL
