The refurbs by definition are computers that have been sent back and checked over, so are not a constant supply like a new computer from the factory line, so stock will come an go depending on what people have been sending back to Apple lately and what is selling.

If you want a white macbook, just keep an eye out and some should appear sooner or later

The white macbook is now gone from the refurb page. I was there just yesterday and it was listed for $899. Maybe Apple has stopped making them? Odd because they just upgraded it. Your thoughts?

Apple doesn't "make them", people return them or they are store models that are resold online after being refurbished. It's very likely that they will be back due to the fact that all the stores just got a new line of white MacBooks, meaning a ton of store-model macbooks will be returned to Apple from all the Apple Stores.
