Hi
A friend has asked me about an iMac that they want to buy, over the internet, it was a G5 iMac, which would cost them £250 + VAT, and i have a spare one kicking around at home (never used) i could sell it to him!
There are some issues with it though, it boots however it occasionally crashes, and you have to re-start it (some times 1-2 an hour) however, i intend to replace the HDD, with a new and bigger one, and put some more ram in? He has also asked for advice about buying? Is there anything else i would need to do to refurbish it?
I also have a 20inch core 2 duo iMac as well, which will not boot up, i tried getting in to take a look at the inside however it is made very difficult by the way apple have done the casing! Is there a specialist way of getting into these machines? This was the alternative to re-do this for him, which would be better for both of us?
I a write this because i benefit by making £20-30 on the side and he gets a better machine, from someone he can trust
