People always say that Apple's system is not capable of handling refurbished units that have various customizations, but if that's true how can this be explained?

It seems like their inventory/store system does have the capability to track upgrades. What can be that secret to score that free upgrade? :rolleyes:

It's just luck, and it's more about the low end models.
