Now whats this and why now? What does this refurbment of Apples products mean? A reanaissanse perhaps? I hope and soon!

If a product is returned it is sold as refurb, similarly if it is faulty, but they repair it. Sometimes they have minor aesthetic flaws such as scratches, but most people have good experiences with them.
