I'm not entirely sure what you're asking, but they are different products...you can not use AppleCare for an iMac with a MacBook and vice versa. Is that what you mean?

Duh...my bad. I misread your post as "iMac and MacBook."

Anyway, yes, the AppleCare for iBook/MacBook is the same thing and will work on either machine.
