Regarding AT&T Stores on June 19

Is At&T even offering a pre-sale? Will the AT&T stores even have a stock on June 19th? I am willing to wait in line, but I want to make sure I am not missing out on a pre-sale or anything that would put others ahead of me in getting the 3GS :)

I know my closest apple store is a bit of a drive for me, my att store is right down the street!
 
Is it just me or is a lot of this rather mysterious? I don't want to drive all the way to my "local" Apple store either!
 
Guys - just go to apple.com and order your phone online. It will be delivered to your door on June 19th...(according to apple)

I've already ordered myself a 32gb 3GS....word.

Save yourself the hassle of having to wait in line....that's just lame.

They say they'll arrive June 19, but they won't actually arrive till the 24th I'm hearing. I hear they ship the 19th. I'll go to AT&T tomorrow and look into that. Thanks everyone! :)

When I upgraded to the 3G last summer, I was unable to buy it at an Apple Store because I have a business account. I had to do it through an AT&T Store. I'm assuming the process will be similar this time around. However, AT&T hasn't even updated their website yet, so I have no idea what to expect. I'm assuming (and hoping) that AT&T Stores will have the 3GS on June 19th.

I couldn't get the pre-order to work on apple.com, I am assuming due to the FAN discount I have on my account. Went to AT&T and will pick up my iPhone there.
 
I just posted this, but yes they are doing pre-orders. I just pre-ordered mine at a ATT store in Charlotte, NC. They said they are opening early on the release date (7am) only for pre-orders.

so you have to go into the store to do this?

If I walk into my local att store they will not laugh at me for asking?

No they did not laugh at me, I pre-ordered the 16gb iphone from an ATT store. They said I was the first one today, but they did it with ease as if they were doing it all day long. The manager said they had conference calls all day, and that the pre-orders will be in on the release date. They are opening from 7-9am for pre-order pick ups.

For what it's worth, in the past, Apple has shipped pre-orders (for other products they have taken pre-orders for) so that they arrive on the day of the launch.
