i bought a macbook with a ram upgrade as i could only afford it and not the pro at the time. but i have just read the specs and noticed i could have gotten the pro now as it is cheaper. i bought this macbook about 3 weeks ago so its still relatively new. now i don't mind spend up to 200$ more for the difference. but is there any way of being able to get it exchanged or get a deal as i really need the firewire port. i am currently in school for Audio Engineering.

if anyone could give me any tips or advice i would be grateful thanks.

Did you purchase it from an Apple Store or somewhere else? The Apple Store's return period is 14-days so you're probably out of luck, if it was somewhere else, they may have a 21-day or 30-day return period. No matter where it was from you'll incur a restocking fee of between 10-15% of the purchase price. HTH.
