Regarding itunes library

If I delete all the songs in my itunes library will they be automatically deleted from my ipod the next time I hook it to my computer?

It depends. If you have your iPod set to automatically update they will be deleted. If you have it set to manually update it won't.

so by setting my ipod to manual I can delete all the songs off my library and not affect the current songs on my ipod?
