I know a lot of people complain about the expensive bands, but if you're here, you're most likely "one of those people" who will be upgrading with every new release (or at least every other release).


So look at it this way... Now you've already paid for your shiny expensive band. When the Apple Watch 2 comes out next year, you can order the cheapest band and just swap them out, then resell your old watch, and probably not spend much money at all since Apple stuff holds its value so well.


Just food for thought.
 
you're assuming the next apple watch will be different internals, maybe they'll just release a few different designs like other watch manufacturers and fashion makers do.

I can't imagine they would not update the internals. At the very least, for further power optimization to increase battery life.
