Region free support for Playstation 3?

I'm sure like many out there, Sony has really been letting us down.

I buy many of my DVDs and BluRays from the states. Some work, some do not, very annoying. I have read mixed opinions on the net by googling this topic.

Does anybody know of a surefire method of being able to play back out of region discs on the PS3?
