Hi, I recently bought a 2011 Mac Mini. Will I get a free upgrade to Mountain Lion? I saw something about registering within 30 days of purchase but I'm not sure what I need to do. Any help would be much appreciated.

I know nothing about having to register. But that would make sense I guess. I have the Rmbp I was assuming that I will get the update for free with the purchase.

Do I actually have to register also?

that's what apple is saying.. so we gotta request something!

Yeah, that was the thing I read. What does this mean?: "Customers must request their Up-to-Date upgrade within 30 days of purchasing their Mac computer."

Does that just apply to people who buy a Mac after the release of Mountain Lion but only has Lion installed? It's a really badly worded page.

If you get a Mac afterward you will either have it pre-installed or you will get the code at purchase.
