i am working in illustrator CS2 at the moment and i'm having problems with changing the size of my documents. when i increase my document in File>Document Setup.. under the artboard tag, it changes the size to what i need but the document has (what i can only dscribe as) registration marks which restricts the size of the document when i move the document into iWeb for example. in other words, no matter what size i make the document, it is restricted to the size of the original registration marks.

can you help?

Illustrator has what's called a 'Crop Area' which will define what's exported (e.g. when creating a PDF). This is overrides the document / artboard size.

To set this, draw a box around the area you want to crop and select Object > Crop Area > make. To clear a crop area, select Object > Crop Area > release.

(The above is for CS3, but I'm pretty sure it's in the same menu in CS2. If not, it's probably in the Edit menu.)
