You can do it online.
Just Google "Apple Support Profile" and you'll get a website where you can sign in with your Apple ID and then enter your MacBook's serial number.

Not the OP, but thanks for this! For some reason my new rMBP wasn't showing up under either of my Apple IDs, even though I purchased it online with AppleCare.
