Hi there
I am have a 3.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4Gb 800MHz DDR2 SDRAM, iMac from 2008. It came with 10.5, I upgraded it to 10.6 last summer, and a week later to 10.7.
I am wanting to reinstall the OS on the machine, and will probably go for 10.6. Does it make any difference if I partition the hard disk, install the OS freshly on the 2nd partition, then migrate the data across and subsequently delete the first partition; compared with completely wiping the hard disk and installing the OS from there?
Also, if I decided to keep Lion on the 1st partition and SL on the 2nd partition, would it make any difference to running SL, assuming the disk space was enough in each case?
Any input is appreciated.
