Does anyone out there regret moving from Ipad 1 across to Ipad 2 because you cant yet Jailbreak your ipad 2?

So MANY things you can do on a jailbroken ipad, don't you feel you are missing out by having an ipad 2 which can't be jailbroken.

Well,

I did not move from iPad1 to iPad2 but I own an iPad2 and I really want to JB it. I have found that I love the valid reasons to JB and not to pirate applications.

I really like sbsettings and and being able to swipe to access other options.

I moved from iPad 1 to 2. and I miss being jailbroken less than I thought. Occasionaily I'll miss SBSettings or being able to change the "iPad" in the status bar to my network name. But for the most part, I don't mind. I'll probably jailbreak again when it's available for iPad2, but I really love the thinner and lighter form factor, so I don't regret upgrading.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8H7 Safari/6533.18.5)

It will happen soon. Prob in a month.

I regret selling my jailbroken iPad 1 before the jailbreak for iPad 2 was released, will never make that mistake again. That's for sure.

The real question, why would you run out and buy an ipad 2, when there was no PUBLICLY released jailbreak if you relied on it so much?

Ummm

Didn't think I would miss the Jailbreak so much and that I did think a jailbreak for an iPad 2 would take SO long.

Wouldn't jailbreak IF apple would allow things such as widgets/dashboards but they don't.

Can you believe you can't get an app that shows news headlines, weather, twitter details all in one place. You have to open separate apps, Just doesn't make sense.

Snapper.

Flipboard?

Flipboard?

NO!!!! I want something like smartscreen but it's only available on JB iPad 1. Flipboard only provides news feed info not weather, emails, etc..

Why don't Apple allow this sort of app

I have the iOS 5 installed in my iPad2 and iPhone4. The only thing I miss is the SBSettings swipe to access wifi, brightness, etc. That is all. iOS 5 covers other things I used with my jailbroken phone. iOS 5 is really a big upgrade.

I have 2 and still use my JB 1.

Same with me. I use my iPad 2 often but if I want to use JB features I switch to iPad 1

Oh I would miss AppSync soooooooo much.

Last I heard this was a fake. The day there is an actual JB for the iPad 2, we will know it. It's a matter of how quick they can expose loopholes around basebands.

I thought the only fake part of it was that it would be released today.

I wonder if dev team is waiting for a final iOS5 to be released, to make sure the loop isn't closed on any userland exploits that they already know about, before releasing an untethered JB.

im waiting on the jailbreak before I purchase my iPad 2

I wouldn't recommend that. The iPad 2 is in such short supply that you can't rely on just buying them exactly when you want to. It is a little hit or miss still, many Apple stores have no stock, and many that do only have the X GB WiFi-only in the color you didn't want, and then while you're pondering getting that model it sells out haha.

One the jailbreak comes out, Apple is sure to patch it. Maybe not the same week, but thinking it'll get patched within a month is reasonable. You could end up with a patched iPad2.

Anyways... just got my iPad2... first iPad and I'm loving it. Also happy that I have 4.3.3 shsh blobs saved in case this is the version # that gets jailbroken
