Regular air travelers, how is the 15” MBP ban being enforced?

It seems that more airlines are now either banning owners from using their MBP during the flight, or outright banning them from the airplane in any shape or form (one source: https://www.techradar.com/news/some...e-now-banned-from-us-flights-due-to-fire-risk).

Have any users actually encountered this at the airport? Is the cabin crew doing active checks?

I flew last week and they announced that if anyone had a "MacBook Pro Air" they should make the cabin crew aware and keep it turned off. This was while we were in the air. No checks before boarding.

I flew twice this week and never heard an announcement, or saw a sign regarding the ban. However, I did not use mine in flight, so don't know what instructions the cabin crews have been given.
